Westfalia Takes on Animal Waste

For immediate release - New Products

Austin, TX - August 20, 2000

Westfalia Surge, through its distribution arm Meltec Inc., is now offering a complete waste management system to its dealer and customer network. The new system is a total approach to not only degrading animal waste but also controlling all the problems associated with its build up. The new system uses a dual phase approach to waste management by controlling "yesterday's waste" with a unique dry formulation called Mega-Bac X®, then handles ongoing problems with a weekly maintenance formulation of Guard-Bac liquid. "The beauty of the system, said Michael Connell, Vice president of Westfalia's dairy division, is that we now have a more automated system that controls odor and dairy waste problems and eliminates the chance of human error." The automation comes from the development of a metered system which allows automatic dosages to be applied on a regular basis at almost any point in the waste flow process. Through an exclusive agreement with Micro-Bac International Inc.®, the developer of Guard-Bac and Mega-Bac: X, Westfalia can offer its dairy customers the next generation of animal waste products.
